Lisa Samuelson

Lisa Samuelson is a communications consultant with more than 20 years experience in branding, marketing communications, sales and public relations across a variety of industries. Lisa founded Samuelson Communications in 2004. Her focus is helping companies define clear and lasting brands, and communicating those brands clearly and consistently to external and internal audiences.

Prior to founding Samuelson Communications, Lisa was a vice president at Parker LePla, a Seattle-based nationally recognized brand strategy firm.  At Parker LePla she consulted with a wide variety of clients— from healthcare to technology to non-profits—in all aspects of branding and communications. She was also a contributing author to a highly regarded book on branding and leadership, Brand Driven, The Route To Integrated Branding Through Great Leadership (Kogan Page 2003).

Lisa has worked on everything from boat shows to wine to industrial gears to fine jewelry and early wi-fi in the sky.  Clients and campaigns have included: The Washington Wine Commission, Cech Systems, Patient Power, Seattle Boat Show, Seattle Boats Afloat, New Zealand Winegrowers, Microsoft, Dakota Specialty Milling, SK Food Groups, Quixote Foundation and BravoBride.

Lisa holds a BA with honors from the University of Melbourne, Australia. She has studied marketing at UC San Diego and public relations at the University of Washington.  Eons ago she studied abroad at the Scuola di Lingua per Stranieri in Florence, Italy and the Université de la Sorbonne, Paris, France. Lisa speaks rusty French and Italian, but fluent Australian.  She always keeps both passports current to take advantage of any and all travel opportunities.  And much to her friends’ dismay, she still eats Vegemite on a regular basis.

Lisa served six years on the Board of Trustees of the Washington chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and chaired the marketing committee for the Leukemia Cup Regatta. She also was a volunteer brand strategist with the Taproot Foundation where she worked on a brand strategy and messaging project for the University District Food Bank in Seattle. Currently she serves on the marketing committee for Girls on the Run of Puget Sound.
